Slow but satisfying for most people is I think how you would describe this party. 

Surprisingly slow to get off the ground, despite some of the female guests wanting to get things moving very quickly!!!  I'm afraid they  had to wait a while for the guys to realise what they were here for!!

Fortunately the majority of people did suddenly appreciate that in order to have fun they had to actually do something, rather than just talk about it!!

We had a perfect mix of guests, the optimum split of 60:40 men:women, but still one lady was heard to complain (my spies tell me that her other half might have led her to believe that she was coming to a couples party, which is daft, given what I say all over my website!!).

Anyway, enough of my moaning, it was great to meet some new faces.  And also super to see some people who haven't been around for a while, for one reason or another.

Thanks to Allan and Bob, without whom etc etc.  And also thanks to Lady T and Daft Tart and Ariandom for helping out with the organisation.

Not the best of parties this one, but those of you who have been around for a while know that every single party has a different feel to it, and it's totally and absolutely dependent on how the different guests contribute to the atmosphere on a particular evening.  We provide the wherewithal for you to enjoy yourselves with a great mix of people, established members and new guests at every event, very pleasant surroundings and polite and attentive staff to get you in, feed you, water you and so on - it's up to you to actually put in the effort to bring about that enjoyment!!  Unfortunately that's not something we can do for you!!!

The next Friday party is already fully booked with a waiting list, so try to get along to my next Saturday one.  It WILL be a good one because it's my birthday party, so there!!!
