Many thanks to my boys, Allan and Kevin, for getting everything ready in super-quick time. We just managed to get everything ready in time for the start!! Thanks also to Ms Mischief for your continued support. Lovely to see some new people and also some who have been away for a while and have inevitably returned. You just can't keep away from a ScorpioNet party!!!
So a long and eventful day, but all's well that ends well. Another couple of weeks and we'll see you all again. Take care and play safe. What
a day/night! As Lee and I were driving in to
the
venue, we were commenting on how smoothly things were going, traffic good,
weather pleasant, everything prepared - no problems! Then we arrived
at the apartment and disaster had wielded her ugly head!! We had
sprung a leak and the apartment was totally unusable as most of it was under
water! So, a few quick phone calls and a frantic half hour and another
apartment was arranged. Lots of deep sighs of relief as we do hate to
let people down!!!
So,
with a slightly later start than usual, everyone
came
in and just got down to it very quickly! And so the evening went
on in fine fashion. Sometimes the best parties start off as
potential problems! Thanks everyone for your good humour having a
place change at the last minute. You all managed to get there in
the end, which is the main thing.
My
favourite comment of the evening was one member
who
came to me and apologised that he had to leave because his driver was
waiting for him downstairs and he felt guilty! I said "oh, you
should have invited him in". He said "b..gg.r that, he's hung like
a donkey!!" Made me laugh anyway!
