Okay - still battling - am now about to do a major upgrade on the server, to try and resolve the problems.
There may be slight downtime - and also possibel minor errors on this forum afterwards - but we are hoping it will resolve the problems on the main site.
If that fails - then I have a spare server standing by - to transfer sites onto - but this will involve propagation.
Rest assured, we are working as hard as possible to restore normal service, as quickly as possible.

Okay - the main site is back up and running - without the upgrade as of yet - however we are going to go ahead with this, this evening/tonight.
A backup will be taken of the site ;) prior to doing this - but we are hoping for a smooth upgrade.

Okay - upgrade completed - just waiting on a licence key - from the USA - they gave me the wrong one!!
No problems that I can detect and all seems okay.
So I am giving it another 30 minutes or so, and then giving up for the night....
If I can stay awake that long!
