Thought some members might be interested...starting Monday 10 April at 11:05pm, channel 4 (in the UK) is running a new documentary series on the porn industry. First installment is about what happens when women start out in porn.
If anyone misses it and wants to watch I can provide a DVD after the event :)
(as someone on another forum recently commented...if AB don't have it on disc or tape, it probably didn't happen)

In theory I can convert to VHS, Betamax, EIAJ open reel video, 8mm video, hi8 video, s-vhs, s-vhsC, 8mm, super 8mm and 16mm film......but really methinks DVD or VHS would have 99% of the market wrapped up!
So the government says by 2010 30% of us will be fat...I'm just a trend-setter :)

Well I haven't watched it yet, but I have it on DVD if anyone wants a copy just PM me...looked as if it probably took a fairly negative view of the experience of getting started in the UK porn industry.
The one last night was called "Me and my slaves"...likewise haven't watched it but have it on disc.

We finally watched it last week.
What surprised me most was how little the professional porn actresses were paid...I think it was £200 for up to 9 different scenes in one day! And it wasn't as if they actually enjoyed the work either...but then I knew that can be par for the course. And even today it is apparently almost impossible to find a company which will do shoots with condoms.
I know a couple of ladies who've been part of the Californian porn industry and they got payed a lot more there...but often enjoyed it no more than their British counterparts.
