I have copied this from the Members Forum, as we have had no response, so we have decided to open it to the genreal membership of Scorpionet.

Now I know we didn't get any response last time round... Anyway...

We have chartered a Bavaria 30 for a weekend 14th-16th July from River Hamble on The Solent

We have press ganged a male scorpionet member and ideally we are contemplating another single female to make up a 4sum crew...

I have booked very good, hot weather and just sufficient wind to enable the boat to go where I want it..

There is a spare bunk, and a couple of extra ropes to be pulled, along with the odd winch. Additional qualities... good tea/coffee maker... and steering in straight lines an advantage !!

Well we made it back....

Top weather, but could have done with a little more breeze....

Sunday morning, managed to get the whole of a 5 ton boat out of the water as we left Poole. Very big waves, caused by wind blowing against the tide !!

Anyway, the crew enjoyed themselves and have a glowing tan from the sun and wind.

Hope to catch up with you all soon. May even put out for another crew list, but with the response last time round, we are not holding our breath....

Many of you may have heard about our recent saling trip and seen the photo's...

We are both off next week, and may be looking to charter for an extended weekend...

Depending if there is sufficient interest, we can charter from a 14 berth, 50 foot to a little 4 berth, 30 foot...

If your interested, let us know... First come, first served. Decision by Friday....

Since we did not have a single enquiry about this venture, we assume that you are not interested in sailing or having any fun with us....

This is despite speaking with people at parties who say ' Oh, you should have a Scorpionet cruise'

Well, we won't be asking again......sorry..
